A historical project was to place an "El Camino Real" bell at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Centre City Parkway in downtown Escondido.


 

The plaque reads:

On Saturday, Oct. 2, Culture of Life Family Services (COLFS) will be hosting a gala dinner and auction at the Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa, located on Mission Bay.

Scheduled speakers will include Steve Breen, Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist for the San Diego Union-Tribune; Jason Jones, producer of the pro-life film “Bella”; and Tim Staples, director of apologetics for Catholic Answers.

The event’s honorary chairpersons are Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and his wife, Tiffany. All proceeds will benefit the work of COLFS.
